Description
As a critical member of the Donor Stewardship team tasked with creating customized and innovative materials for EDF’s managed donors, the Project Manager plans, manages, and tracks stewardship deliverables and communications throughout the project lifecycle. They also support the Donor Stewardship team’s overall portfolio of work and strategy.
They organize Stewardship’s donor communications and provide similar support to Development Communications when necessary. They partner closely with colleagues within Development and across the organization in Global Mission, Global Enterprise and Marketing and Communications to manage and track processes related to gift and grant acceptance, donor acknowledgements, pledge reminders and challenge matches.
The Project Manager also serves as a liaison between the Donor Stewardship team and the Mission Finance, Information & Strategy and Development Coordinators for Major Gifts, Institutional Giving, Government Partnerships, and Planned Giving. They proactively contribute recommendations for process improvements and creative ideas for donor collateral. The Project Manager works closely with the Operations team in DevComms to track metrics and share best practices regarding organization and planning. This position reports to the Associate Director, Development.
Requirements
Plan, manage and track the production of multiple simultaneous high-quality stewardship deliverables. Create and own project charters, scopes of work and project timelines.
Ensure that project tasks are completed fully and in a timely manner.
Draft and edit donor communications under the guidance of the Stewardship Communications Manager.
Participate in advancing EDF DEI goals in which people from all backgrounds and experiences feel connected, included, and empowered to address the environmental and organizational challenges in alignment with EDF values.
Oversee and track processes related to gift and grant acceptance and administration, donor acknowledgements, matching grants, and pledge reminders. Serve as a point of contact for Donor Stewardship inquiries. Deliver Donor Stewardship trainings to new hires.
Provide administrative support as needed for the Associate Director, Development, including expense reports preparation and vendor invoice processing.
Support team leadership by tracking the team’s budget.
Communicate with stakeholders and others with professionalism and respect. Participate in department-wide initiatives, projects, meetings, retreats and events.
Additional relevant responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years relevant work experience. Familiarity with fundraising best practices preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong time management and consistent attention to detail. Ability to solve problems independently, and juggle multiple assignments simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and work collaboratively across department and organization. Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
Demonstrated self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Experience with fundraising databases and donor reporting preferred. Salesforce is a plus. Experience with project management software preferred.
Asana is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Photoshop, Canva, and InDesign is a plus.

Ability to travel 20% or less
