Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Wellesley College in the search for an Assistant Vice President for Development & Campaign Director.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President for Development, the Assistant Vice President for Development & Campaign Director will lead and advance Wellesley College’s fundraising efforts across a range of strategic initiatives. The Assistant Vice President will direct the planning and execution of both short- and long-term fundraising strategies, including principal, major, planned, annual gifts, and corporate and foundation giving. In partnership with the President, Vice President, Assistant Vice President for Information Strategy and Operations, and frontline development staff, the Assistant Vice President will set ambitious yet achievable goals, while developing and executing comprehensive strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of key prospects. The Assistant Vice President will oversee and mentor a team of fundraising professionals, ensuring strong performance management, professional development, and a culture of excellence.

As Campaign Director, the Assistant Vice President will manage the administrative aspects of a multi-year comprehensive campaign, including the creation of detailed timelines, benchmarks, and progress reports, while leveraging data analytics to inform campaign strategies. Serving as a key partner to leadership, the Assistant Vice President will regularly report on the campaign’s results and successes, offering insights for continued growth and refinement. This position is in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Development staff are required to be in the office on Wednesdays plus at least one additional in-office day of their choice. Weekend and evening travel in support of campaign programs and initiatives is required for this position.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least eight years of progressively responsible development leadership experience is preferred for this position.

Salary Range and Employee Benefits

$200,000 to $225,000 annually
