About Sameera
From Melissa Ngan:
Sameera is the first woman of color to hold her position at ACO, and led the organization through multiple leadership transitions and the pandemic.
She was instrumental in identifying me as a candidate; I was working in a very different space and not looking for a role at the time, so if she had not been proactive in the search process by asking for referrals in many places, I’m sure our paths would not have crossed.
Under her leadership we have built an organization that is thriving and growing, and that is a huge accomplishment given the environment we are in. She is committed to our mission, and to seeing the work of artists of every background, style, and aesthetic represented on orchestral stages.
